THOMPSON AND JURIK AWARDED RESPECTIVE ECC WEEKLY HONORS

STATEN ISLAND, NY - The College of Staten Island women's soccer team went 1-0-1 last week, highlighted by a dominant win over Lincoln (Pa.) on Wednesday and a 0-0 draw against ECC rival Queens College (NY). Following their performances, particularly in the win over Lincoln on Oct. 15, Caitlyn Thompson and Annika Jurik earned weekly conference honors.

Jurik, a standout in her rookie season, leads the team with four goals and eight points. She notched her first collegiate hat trick against Lincoln, scoring twice in the first half and once in the second. Additionally, her first goal of the match was the game-winner, a stat in which she is now tied with three teammates.She is this week's Rookie of the Week.

Thompson ranks second on the team in points this season with five, all of which came in the win over Lincoln, where she tallied two goals and an assist to earn her the Offensive Player of the Week crown.

Additionally, senior goalkeeper Brianna Dore earned an honorable mention from the conference on Monday after recording 14 saves in the draw against Queens; the third-highest single-game total in program history.
