GAME DAY: MEN'S SOCCER CLOSES OUT HOME SCHEDULE WITH FIREBIRDS

STATEN ISLAND, NY - The College of Staten Island men's soccer team will host their final home contest of the regular season versus the University of District of Columbia (UDC) Wednesday afternoon at Dolphins Soccer Park.

The Firebirds lead the all-time series 2-0-2. In their most recent meeting in 2024, the Dolphins fell 2-1 after being shut out in the second half. The Dolphins' statistical leaders include Wolfgang Alvarado (3G) and Peterson Larose (2G, 2A), each with six points this season followed by Koray Arslan (1G, 2A) and William Lopez (2G) with four points apiece. Both keepers for the Dolphins recorded over 20+ saves, Luca Schelling leading the duo with 29 while Carlos Romero Astacio has 22.

UDC is led by a player with eight points (3 goals, 2 assists), followed by two players with seven points and three more with five. Their lead goalkeeper tallies 53 saves through 11 games this season.

The Dolphins sit two spots behind UDC in the ECC standings, holding a 0-4-1 record compared to the Firebirds' 1-2-2. CSI will look to bounce back from last Saturday's second-half loss to Queens and close out their regular-season home schedule with a win.
