KINGS PARK, NJ - The College of Staten Island men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2025 ECC Cross-Country Championship on Saturday and ended their season with another historic performance.  The CSI men placed seventh in the 8K and the CSI women earned their highest placement ever in the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 5K.

The Dolphins were led on the women's side by Adriana Roa who capped off her record-setting freshman campaign with a 12th-place overall finish in the 5K.  Her time of 19:53.60 was the third-best in program history at Sunken Meadow State Park and earned her a spot on the ECC All-Conference Second Team.  Elizabeth Nicotra (22:12.80) and Angelina Guerriero (22:23.80) clocked in with time just over 22 minutes followed by Anna Carafiol (23:39.00), Mahawa Kouyate (23:39.80), Jacqueline Washington (24:07.40), Adonijah Washington (24:42.00) and Madison Jackson (25:54.50).  The combined performance of the eight runners earned them the best finish for the CSI women in six appearances at the ECC Championship dating back to 2019.

Peter Galletta set the pace in the 8K for the CSI men with a time of 30:23.90.  He was followed closely by Kevin Deyo with a time of 31:25.70.  Matthew Amato (32:17.00), Walter Gavilanes (32:54.10), Jehu Ermilus (33:01.20), Pedro Astudillo (33:40.90), and Jude Adinnu (38:40.50) rounded out the squad of seven CSI runners.
