TAMPA, Fla. – The College of Staten Island men's basketball team hits the road for the first time this season, traveling to Florida for a Monday evening matchup against the University of Tampa, marking the first-ever meeting between the programs at the Spartans' Martinez Center.

The Dolphins enter the game at 2–0 following wins over Saint Michael's on Friday and Chestnut Hill on Saturday. Aaron Goldstein leads CSI with 21.0 ppg, adding six assists and four steals across the opening weekend. Mitchell Wiggan is close behind at 17.0 ppg coming off the bench, powered by a 20-point outing against the Griffins on Nov. 15. JJ Chestnut is averaging 16.0 ppg after a standout performance Saturday in which he posted 21 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Tampa opened its season with a dominant 104–69 win over Kentucky State on Saturday. A massive 61-point second half propelled the Spartans, who featured four double-digit scorers, including a game-high 33-point effort.

Through two games, CSI is shooting 45% (57–126) from the field and 85% (39–46) from the free-throw line. Tampa, in its lone outing, shot 52% (36–69) from the field and 32% (7–22) from three-point range.
