GAMEDAY: BASEBALL RETURNS HOME FOR WEEKNIGHT MATCHUP WITH DOMINICAN

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team will return home tonight as they host Dominican University of New York at Staten Island University Hospital Community Park. The Dolphins are coming off a split of Sunday's doubleheader against Holy Family University and are 3-12 on the season. In game one against the Tigers, CSI earned a decisive win, 9-1. In game two, the tying run was cut down at home for the final out of the game in a 4-3 defeat. The Chargers enter the night 4-4 and have won each of their last three games. When the two teams met last season, they split a doubleheader at the CSI Baseball Complex. After DUNY took game one by a final score of 9-5, the Dolphins defeated the Chargers 10-0 in game two earning Head Coach Michael Mauro his 300th career win. That Dolphins victory also evened up the all-time series at 7-7, and CSI has won four of the seven meetings between the two teams since becoming a Division II program.
