GAMEDAY: BASEBALL OPENS CONFERENCE PLAY AGAINST MOLLOY IN FIRST GAME AT CSI BASEBALL COMPLEX

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team will open conference play this afternoon as they host Molloy University in their first game at the CSI Baseball Complex. CSI is 5-16 on the year coming off their best win of the season on Tuesday against Adelphi University. In the victory over the Panthers, the CSI bats erupted for a season-high 21 runs and 18 hits. Molloy enters the day with a record of 9-7 on the season and the Lions have been ranked by both the NCBWA and ABCA this season. In the latest polls, Molloy received votes for the ABCA rankings, and the Lions are coming off a 2024 season that saw them win their third ECC Championship in four years. Historically, the all-time series between Molloy and CSI has favored the Lions. Molloy is 13-1 against CSI with the lone Dolphins victory coming in an 11-0 shutout during the 2023 season. The Lions have won seven straight against the Dolphins since, and each of the last four meetings have been decided by nine or more runs.
