GAMEDAY: BASEBALL GOES FOR SERIES WIN OVER QUEENS ON THE ROAD IN FLUSHING

Flushing, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team concludes their four-game series with Queens College this afternoon as they visit the Knights for a single nine-inning game at 12:00 PM. The Dolphins enter the day 9-20 on the season and 3-4 in conference play following a sweep of yesterday's doubleheader at home. The Knights come in to today's series finale 8-16 overall and 1-2 in conference play. In the series opener, the Dolphins were held to just one hit in a 9-3 defeat. In game two, a five-run Dolphins lead was cut to one in the ninth inning, but CSI held on for an 11-10 victory. Finally, the Dolphins once again saw a six-run lead shrink to one, but CSI held on in the final inning to win game three of the series, 8-6. History was also made at the CSI Baseball Complex during game one on Saturday as Chris Polemeni became the third Dolphins in program history to hit three home runs in a single game. With yesterday's doubleheader sweep, the Dolphins have defeated Queens twice in the same season for the first time as a Division II program. The Dolphins can also claim their first-ever conference series victory over the Knights with a win today.
