GAMEDAY: DOLPHINS HOST 2025 HEROES DAY AT SIUH COMMUNITY PARK

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team will host their third annual Hometown Heroes Day Fundraiser tonight as they take on the Felician University Golden Falcons at SIUH Community Park. Following a pregame ceremony honoring the late Steve Sosa, Paul Polemeni and Anthony Varvaro, the Dolphins will face the Golden Falcons in a single nine-inning game. CSI comes in with a record of 15-24 after taking three of four games against St. Thomas Aquinas College in their most recent conference series over the weekend. Felician enters the night 28-15 following. a pair of big wins over Bloomfield College on Tuesday. The Dolphins and Golden Falcons have met three times dating back to the year 2000. That year, the two teams split a pair of games, and in 2023 Felician defeated CSI 9-0 at The Spring Games in Myrtle Beach. On Monday, it was announced that two Dolphins have received weekly accolades from the ECC. Chris Polemeni, who is now one home run away from tying the CSI single-season program record, was named the ECC Player of the Week. Joining him on the weekly report was Jack Kehoe who was named the ECC Rookie of the Week for the third time this year.
