Newark, DE - The College of Staten Island Track & Field Team competed in the Delaware Invitational for the first time earlier today as they spent Friday in Newark, Delaware.  After a series of records fell at two separate meets last weekend, the Dolphins set another six program records during today's meet.

The first program record to fall belonged to Ibrahima Diallo in the 400-Meter.  The junior placed ninth overall with a time of 50.20s.  The CSI men also broke a pair of relay records in the meet as Steven Elcock, Nicholas Runfola, Sam Whelan and Vincent Ohenhen posted a time of 42.49s in the 4x100 Relay.  In the 4x400 Relay Elcock, Diallo, Josmy Cerda and Karran Riley combined for a time of 3:24.12, another new program record.  Finally, Wayne Stephenson set both a program record and a meet record in the 3K Steeplechase.  Placing first overall, the senior posted a time of 10:40.05.  The CSI women also added two new program records in the meet, one on the track and another in the field.  First, Adonijah Washington placed tenth in the 100 Hurdles with a program record-setting time of 15.95s.  In the field, Ava Thompson also set a new program record in the Hammer with a distance of 41.96m, good for seventh overall.

In addition to the six records, all of which were personal bests, the Dolphins collected a long list of PR's in today's meet.  First Walter Gavilanes set PR's in both the 3K Steeplechase and 800-Meter.  Joining him in setting a PR in the 800 were Zayden Williams, Elizabeth Nicotra, and Alexandrea Jackson.  Runfola, Enoch Antwi, Inioluwa Ogunfowora, and Kayla Larsen each achieved a personal best in the 200-Meter.  Larsen also posted a PR in the 400, and both Precious Dillon and Alexandra Tavarez posted their best time in the 100.  For the men, Kelon Martin added a PR in the 5K, and Stephen Lau posted his best distance in the Javelin.  Lastly, Tacia Marshall achieved her best mark in the Hammer.

The Dolphins take part in another multi-day meet this week as they begin the TCNJ Invite on Thursday.  That meet will continue through Saturday as the team takes part in the first of two meets remaining ahead of the ECC Championship.
