Staten Island, NY – Chris Polemeni added to his list of accolades on Friday as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association named him to the All-East Region First Team. Polemeni becomes the first CSI player to appear on the NCBWA All-Region squad since AJ Vigliotti earned a spot two years ago in 2023.
Polemeni slugged an ECC-leading .751 during the regular season and went on to to tie a CSI single-season record with 14 home runs. He also scored 53 runs, drove in 47 and stole 14 bases. He was two-time ECC Player of the Week before going on to be named the conference Player of the Year. After breaking the single-season program stolen bases record during an impressive freshman campaign, the sophomore helped lead the Dolphins to their first Division II playoff berth in the history of the program this year.
Polemeni concluded a historic sophomore campaign with 14 home runs and 67 hits while slugging at .740
The honor for Polemeni is his third since being named the ECC Player of the year at the conclusion of the 2025 regular season. He has since been named the CSI Male Co-Athlete of the Year alongside Yubal Parra at the 2025 Finnies and should expect to receive additional regional honors in the coming weeks.
