GAMEDAY: DOLPHINS OPEN FINAL SERIES AGAINST D'YOUVILLE ON THE BRINK OF PLAYOFF BERTH

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Baseball Team will have the chance to clinch the first Division II playoff berth in program history today as they face the D'Youville University Saints in a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 AM. The Dolphins are 16-24 on the season and 9-7 in conference play entering their matchup with the Saints. D'Youville comes in 12-31 on the year with a 6-10 record against the ECC. The Dolphins lead the all-time series 10-8, but the Saints have won five straight against CSI dating back to 2023. This includes a sweep of their four-game series in Buffalo last season as the Saints eliminated the Dolphins from playoff contention. Entering the weekend, the Dolphins need just one win in the four games against the Saints to clinch a playoff spot. D'Youville must sweep the four-game series from the Dolphins to leapfrog CSI in the standings, but the Saints can still reach the playoffs with some help if they fail to secure the sweep.
