GAMEDAY: MEN'S SOCCER RETURNS TO NON-CONFERENCE ACTION WITH DOMINICAN (N.Y.)

STATEN ISLAND, NY - The College of Staten Island men's soccer team returns to non-conference play as they host Dominican University (N.Y.) at Dolphin Soccer Park on Wednesday afternoon. The Dolphins and Chargers have met three times throughout the program's history, the first time dating back to the 1985 season where CSI took the 3-0 victory.

In last season's meeting, CSI held a 1-0 lead for most of the match before Dominican equalized in the 77th minute. With just five minutes remaining, the Chargers netted the game-winner to hand the Dolphins a 2-1 defeat.

The Dolphins hold a 1-3-1 record, while the Chargers stand at 1-4-1. Wolfgang Alvarado and Koray Arslan lead the team with four points each, Alvarado with two goals and Arslan with one goal and two assists. Both keepers for the Dolphins, Luca Schelling and Carlos Romero Astacio, saved 12 shots apieace for a total of 24 for the season.
