GAMEDAY: MEN'S SOCCER VISITS ASSUMPTION TO OPEN 2025 SEASON

Worcester, MA - The College of Staten Island Men's Soccer Team will open the 2025 season against the same opponent they faced to open 2024 when they take on Assumption University today at 4:00 PM. After opening the 2024 season against the Greyhounds at home, the Dolphins will play their first game of 2025 on the road in Worcester. The Dolphins will be looking to return to the postseason for the second time as a Division II program after missing the postseason in 2024. The team finished 2-12-1 last year with a 1-6-1 record in conference play. The Greyhounds are coming off a 3-9-4 season during which they finished 0-7-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference. Today's meeting will be the fourth between the two programs with the Dolphins still searching for their first win against Assumption. In 2022, the Greyhounds defeated the Dolphins 2-0 at Dolphins Soccer Park. Each of the last two seasons, the Greyhounds outlasted the Dolphins in a pair of matches decided by a single goal.
