STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island men's soccer team will host its Alumni Day celebration Saturday afternoon when the Dolphins welcome Daemen University for an East Coast Conference (ECC) matchup. 2025 Meeting Recap:

The Dolphins traveled to Amherst, NY, to take on the Wildcats during the 2025 season, earning a dominant 5-1 victory. CSI opened the contest with three goals in the first half, with two of the three coming from Peterson Larose and Koray Arslan. Larose finished the contest with a team-high five points on two goals and an assist, including his second goal of the game in the second half to help propel the Dolphins to the decisive victory. Luca Schelling earned the win in goal after making three saves.

2026 Dolphins Statistics Overview:

The Dolphins enter Saturday's matchup with a 3-4-1 overall record and a 1-1-1 mark in ECC play following a 1-1 week last week. Carlos Romero Astacio leads the Dolphins in goal with 28 saves on the season. He ranks second in the ECC in goals-against average at 0.83 and is also tied for second in the conference with three shutouts. Yair Roman and Dylan Meadows lead the Dolphins offensively, with Roman recording a team-high eight points on three goals and two assists, while Meadows follows with six points on three goals. Both newcomers rank among the top 10 in the ECC in points this season.

2026 Wildcats Statistics Overview:

The Wildcats enter Saturday with a 1-7-2 overall record and a 1-2 mark in ECC play after defeating Roberts Wesleyan last Wednesday. Daemen's top performer has recorded seven points on three goals and one assist, while two additional players have four points apiece on two goals. The Wildcats have seven different goal scorers this season, each with at least one goal. Daemen has used three goalkeepers this season, with its top keeper recording 41 saves across 632 minutes in net, followed by the team's second goalkeeper with 23 saves.

Saturday's contest will mark the sixth all-time meeting between the Dolphins and Wildcats, with CSI looking to even the series after trailing 3-2. The Dolphins have won the last two meetings, scoring at least three goals in each contest.
