STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island softball team returns home this weekend, beginning with a matchup against Dominican University (N.Y.) on Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM. The Dolphins enter the contest at 0-2 on the week following a doubleheader loss to Jefferson on Tuesday and will look to bounce back against the Chargers.
2025 Meetings: Dolphins Take Season Series, 2-1
The two teams met three times during the 2025 season, beginning with a neutral-site contest in Clermont, FL on March 7, where the Dolphins earned a 6-1 victory. Less than a week later, CSI traveled to Orangeburg, NY for a doubleheader, resulting in a split. Dominican took Game 1, 6-2, before the Dolphins responded with a 5-2 win in Game 2.
Following those three meetings, the all-time series is tied at 2-2. The 2025 season marked the second time the programs met in CSI's Division II era, with their first matchup dating back to 1998, when the Chargers earned a 13-5 victory.
