STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island baseball team will host its fourth annual Hometown Heroes Game at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) Community Park on Tuesday evening against Felician University at 7:30 PM. Prior to first pitch, the Dolphins will honor four hometown heroes, Steve Sosa, Anthony Vavaro, Ron Graboski ("Coach Ron"), and Gordon Rugg, for their lasting impact on the Staten Island community.
All-Time Series Sits Tied After 2025 CSI Win
The Dolphins hosted their Hometown Heroes Game last season against Felician on Apr. 24, 2025, earning a 14–8 victory at SIUH Community Park to even the all-time series at 2–2.
In that contest, CSI struck first with a run in the opening inning before breaking the game open in the third, scoring eight runs to take a 9–0 lead. Felician responded with a pair of runs, but the Dolphins answered with four more in the bottom half of the inning to maintain control and secure the non-conference win.
