BUFFALO, NY – The College of Staten Island softball team will travel to face D'Youville University on Friday afternoon for an East Coast Conference (ECC) doubleheader at Dobson Field. The Dolphins will look to bounce back after being swept in the first meeting of the season, where the Saints held CSI scoreless to take a 2–0 lead in the regular season series.

In their first matchup of the year, the Dolphins were shut out in both games. The Saints claimed game one, 4–0, and followed with a 1–0 victory in a pitchers' duel. CSI surrendered the lone run in the top of the seventh and was unable to respond in the bottom half, resulting in a two-game sweep.
In game two, Marena Grenier delivered one of her strongest performances from the circle, striking out nine across 7.0 innings pitched. Madilyn Paul and Aliveah Warner each recorded two hits, while Milene Mendoza added one. In game one, Abbie Morris led the offense with a perfect 3-3 performance at the plate, while Mendoza contributed two hits.

The Dolphins currently sit third in the ECC standings with a 7–7 conference record, while the Saints are fourth at 4–8, tied with Molloy. CSI remains in position to secure its first ECC postseason berth since joining the conference.
