ROCHESTER, NY – The College of Staten Island men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to compete at the East Coast Conference (ECC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University, on Thursday morning.

Meet Schedule Breakdown
The ECC Championships will begin at 9:30 AM with field events, starting with the javelin throw (women/men) and hammer throw (men/women). Track events are scheduled to get underway at 10:15 AM with the 10,000-meter run, with men's events contested first, followed by the women's races throughout the day.

Dolphins Defending Titles
The Dolphins return to the ECC Championships looking to build on last year's results, where the men's team placed third overall and the women's team finished fifth. Both squads enter this year's meet aiming to improve their standings.

In 2025, the Dolphins totaled 14 medals, broke 13 program records, and recorded 23 personal-best performances. Key returners include Steven Elcock, Christopher O'Brien, Jeremiah Downer, Ibrahima Diallo, Angelina Guerriero, Adonijah Washington, Precious Dillon, Alexandrea Jackson, and Alexis Doyle, all of whom are expected to play important roles as the team looks to climb the standings.

Washington continues to be a standout for CSI as she pushes toward a berth in the NCAA Championships later this May. Earlier this season, she became the first athlete in program history to achieve a national qualifying mark, winning the triple jump with a distance of 12.12 meters. That mark initially ranked her 15th in the nation and currently sits at 21st, keeping her in contention for a top-22 qualifying spot. She will look to improve on her school-record performance while securing her place in the national field.
