HOLMDEL, NJ – The College of Staten Island men's and women's cross country programs will kick off their 2026 campaigns at the Back to the Bowl Invitational, hosted by Stevens Institute of Technology, on Saturday morning in Holmdel, NJ. Both teams will compete in 5K races as they open the 2026 season.

2025 Season Recap:
The Dolphins put together a solid 2025 campaign, with a strong group of rookie runners making an immediate impact and laying the foundation for the future of the program. On the women's side, Adriana Roa reset multiple program standards in both the 5K and 6K throughout the season while placing 12th at the East Coast Conference (ECC) Championship. Her time of 19:53.60 was the third-fastest mark in program history at Sunken Meadow State Park and earned her a spot on the ECC All-Conference Second Team.

For the men, Kevin Deyo and Peter Galletta made their mark during their rookie seasons. Deyo earned ECC Rookie of the Week honors after posting a personal-best time of 24:57.3 and finishing second at the Fred Pavlich Invitational. Galletta recorded the third-fastest time by a CSI freshman in program history at the NJIT XC Invitational, crossing the finish line in 28:47.

2026 Season Preview:
The Dolphins return the majority of their roster in 2026 while adding several newcomers as they look to build upon last season's progress. The men's team welcomes seven newcomers and returns a senior looking to cap off his final season of eligibility on a high note. On the women's side, the Dolphins add two newcomers as they continue to strengthen the program and take another step forward in 2026.
