STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island men's soccer team will host its first East Coast Conference (ECC) contest of the season on Saturday afternoon when the Dolphins welcome D'Youville University for a 2:30 PM kickoff. CSI is coming off its first-ever victory over Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday, securing a 4-1 win behind a hat trick from Yair Roman.
2025 Meeting Recap:
The Dolphins and Saints met in Buffalo, NY, in October 2025, where D'Youville secured a 2-1 victory after scoring twice in the second half. The two teams played to a scoreless first half, with the Dolphins recording four shots compared to the Saints' three. D'Youville opened the scoring just two minutes into the second half to take a 1-0 lead. Matthew Beaton later equalized for the Dolphins on an assist from Anthony Benvenuto, bringing the score to 1-1. However, the Saints found the back of the net with six minutes remaining in regulation to secure the victory.
The loss marked the Dolphins' second consecutive defeat to the Saints after CSI had previously won three straight meetings dating back to the beginning of the all-time series.
