College of Staten Island women's tennis fell to Kean University, 9-0, in Tuesday's non-conference match at the CSI Tennis Center. The Cougars extended their record to 4-1 while the Dolphins fell to a 2-5 record. Ilona Stoyko fought hard at No. 2 singles despite falling to opponent Debra Dress, 10-8. Jean Baak also saw a close score, 10-8, despite her loss against Erin Hendricks in the No. 3 singles spot. Maryna Incherchera lost 10-9, 7-5, to Jaelyn Lee in No. 4 singles. Kean's Lauren Petrucelli and Lee defeated Alena Vedeneeva and Stoyko in No. 1 doubles, 8-6, while Hendricks and Ericka Tapia defeated Incherchera and Katie Masterson in No. 3 doubles, 8-5. The Dolphins will host John Jay College on Friday, September 30 in a 3:30 pm conference match.
