DOLPHINS' TENNIS BLITZES LEHMAN TO FINISH PERFECT IN CUNYAC

CSI concluded their regular season undefeated in CUNY
The College of Staten Island women's tennis team finalized the CUNYAC portion of their schedule this afternoon, bouncing Lehman College, 9-0, in a match played at the CSI Tennis Center.  CSI improved to 12-1 overall and 7-0 with the win, while the Lightning fell to 4-10, 2-5, respectively.

CSI was up from start to finish, aided but a very strong 3-0 lead after doubles play where they only surrendered a single game.  the No. 1 team of Ilona Stoyko and Sabrina Bragerton-Nasert and the No. 3 unit of Jean Baak and Michelle Kushnir both won their matches, 8-0, while Madiha Mulla and Nozima Toshpulatova defeated Lynessa George and Kantomalala Rasedor, 8-1.

When play switched over to singles, CSI had similar success, winning all of their matches in straight sets.  Jacqueline Jamaleddine, who did not play doubles, scored a 6-2, 6-3, win at No. 6, coming from Clove Lake Park where she finished a 5k cross-country race with the women's cross-country team.

CSI's 7-0 CUNYAC mark clinches them the CUNYAC Regular Season Championship, and with it, a No. 1 seed in the CUNYAC Postseason Tournament, which begins a week from tomorrow, where they will face No. 8 York College (seedings not yet official) at the CSI Tennis Center.
