AUTISM SPEAKS MATCH ENDS WITH 8-1 VICTORY OVER JOHN JAY COLLEGE

Ramirez helps Dolphins secure 8-1 win over Bloodhounds with 8-2 win in doubles
The College of Staten Island women's tennis team increased their win streak to five in a row today, scoring a 8-1 victory over the Bloodhounds of John Jay College as part of CUNYAC play at the CSI Tennis Center.  The Dolphins improved to 11-3 while the Bloodhounds fell to 0-9.

CSI dominated early on, taking all three doubles via a comfortable margin of victory.  The duo of Nozima Toshpulatova and Sabrina Bragerton-Nasert registered a 8-3 win, which matched the score that Madiha Mulla and Michelle Kushnir put up on court two.  Samantha Mazier and Hannah Ramirez won convincingly on court three with a 8-2 win to give the Dolphins a 3-0 start.

The Bloodhounds managed to snag one win from the Dolphins to prevent the sweep and that came on court one against Toshpulatova in a long match which ended as the last of the sunlight drifted below the horizon.  Bragerton-Nasert quickly scored a 6-1, 6-0 victory from no. 2 while Mazier secured a 6-0, 6-0 victory from five.

CSI will once again play at home for the third straight day when they take on CCNY at the CSI Tennis Center tomorrow at 1:00 pm.
