Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Men's and Women's Basketball teams head home after a pair of loses at the St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) Spartan's home this past weekend. Tonight, the teams welcome the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds for the first time in program history. The women will play first for a 5:30 PM tip-off. The men will follow for a 7:30 PM start. The Dolphins women's team enter with a 3-10 overall record and 1-5 in ECC play. The Firebirds women's team come in with a 7-8 overall record and 3-3 in ECC play. The Dolphins men's team enters with a 4-9 overall record and 3-4 in ECC play. The Firebirds men's team comes in with a 3-16 overall record and 2-6 in ECC play.

LAST TIME OUT
This past Saturday, both teams traveled to STAC, however, came back home with losses. The Dolphins men's team fell to STAC by a final score of 64-99. Though CSI kept the game close in the first half, it was the second half that STAC outscored CSI, 50-19 in route to their victory. This was the men's first road loss of the season. The Dolphins women's team started their game at STAC down by double-digits early and were forced to play catch up the rest of the game in route to a, 65-55, loss. The women have now dropped their last two games. For the Firebirds, the women enter having lost their last three games, while the men have dropped their last six games.
DOLPHINS TO WATCH
For the women, Jenlyse Alarcon continues to lead the Dolphins in scoring and rebounding with 11.5 points per-game and 9.5 rebounds per-game on the season.
Ashley Lambert has provided a spark off the bench for CSI in recent games, she is currently second on the team in scoring with 10.9 points per-game and leads the team in free-throw percentage at 88%.
On the men's side, Messiah Malory was held to single digits in their last game for the first time in his last eight games, taking only six shots in the game, his lowest shot-attempts in a game this season. On the other hand,
Bryce Waterman scored in double-digits in their last game after scoring a season low three points in a loss to Mercy College a week ago.
