THREE DOLPHINS NAMED TO ECC SOFTBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS

5/1/2025 2:00:00 PM

Sparkill, NY - Following today's ECC Championship opener, the 2025 All-Conference Teams were announced at Spartan Field in Sparkill.  Three Dolphins received All-Conference honors from the ECC this year including two First Team selections and one Second Team selection.  Earning a spot on the first team were Amanda Stalker and Anissa AcostaKennedie Ruth also earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team, her first All-Conference selection.

Stalker took a big step forward in her second season with the Dolphins as she led the team in batting with a .391 average.  She also led the team in OPS at .998 and in on-base percentage at .507.  Defensively, the sophomore filled an important role for the Dolphins in right field after beginning her CSI career on the infield as a freshman.  Finally, she was key to CSI's late-season playoff push that saw the team come within one game of reaching the conference playoffs.

Acosta joins Stalker on the ECC All-Conference First Team, her third straight All-Conference honor.  Putting together another tremendous offensive season as a senior, Acosta was second to only Stalker in batting at .380.  Her on-base numbers also trailed only Stalker at .977 and she led the team in slugging.  Acosta also started all 40 games for the Dolphins as well and led the team in both hits and doubles.  Her contributions to the program over the course of her four-year tenure have left a lasting impact, and she graduates as one of the most accomplished players in program history.

Ruth has been at the top of the CSI rotation for the past two seasons and was key to the Dolphins late-season playoff push.  She led the team in nearly every pitching statistic with no feat more important than her eight complete games on the year.  She was among the conference leaders in ERA, and she held opponents to just a .260 batting average against.  Given the step forward taken by the sophomore this year, the Dolphins can certainly expect big things from Ruth as a junior in 2026.

The Dolphins fell one game short of the ECC playoffs this season for the second straight year as they lost their final game against D'Youville University.  The Dolphins did however take another step forward from 2024, and they will return many of their key players from this season.  Among the graduating class are Acosta, Mariah Carcano, and Alexis Miramontes.  Their production will certainly need to be replaced, but the Dolphins have plenty of reasons to believe they should return to playoff contention in 2026.
