GAME DAY: MEN'S SOCCER FACES OFF WITH ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE ON THE ROAD

STATEN ISLAND, NY - The College of Staten Island men's soccer team kicks off a three-game road stretch on Wednesday afternoon, taking on St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) at 2:30 PM in Sparkill, NY. The Dolphins continue to battle on the pitch, coming off back-to-back draws against Dominican (N.Y.) and Molloy University. They enter the day with a 1-3-3 overall record and a 0-1-1 mark in conference play.

The Spartans currently sit second in the conference standings with a 3-2-2 overall record and 2-0 in conference, alongside Roberts Wesleyan. Wolfgang Alvarado continues to lead the Dolphins with six points on the season, adding two last week from the equalizer against Dominican. Koray Arslan (1G, 2A), Peterson Larose (1G, 2A), and William Lopez (2G) each contribute four points. In goal, Luca Schelling remains the team's primary keeper, recording seven saves last week and 19 overall this season. Schelling is 7th overall in lowest Goals Against Average with 2.0.

In their previous meeting, the Dolphins earned a 2-2 draw after scoring a late goal in the 83rd-minute. The Spartans struck first, finding the back of the net less than a minute into regulation, but CSI responded with a goal from Larose before halftime. Trailing 2-1 with just 20 minutes remaining, the Dolphins rallied to secure the tie with the late goal.
