STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island men's soccer team hosted its lone game of the previous week on Saturday against Daemen University (NY) at Dolphins Soccer Park. The Dolphins commanded the pitch and secured a 5-2 East Coast Conference (ECC) victory, featuring four different goal scorers and five different players recording at least one assist.
Dylan Meadows was among the players with an assist in the afternoon and earned his second consecutive ECC Rookie of the Week honor for his performance against the Wildcats. In 72 minutes on the pitch, the rookie recorded two shots, both of which were on goal, and registered the assist that gave the Dolphins a two-goal lead. Meadows currently ranks ninth in the conference with seven points, recording three goals and one assist.
Also announced on Monday, a trio of men's soccer players received honorable mentions from the conference: Peterson Larose, Yair Roman, and Koray Arslan. Each player recorded a goal in the win over Daemen.
The College of Staten Island men's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday in Rockville Centre when they take on Molloy University under the lights at 7:00 PM.
