She has been just as good in the circle, going 2-3 overall with a 2.14 ERA, fanning 48 batters in 36 innings, allowing just a .215 batting average against.
Samantha MacPherson continues to swing a hot bat. She is clearing .355 with a team best six extra-base hits, including five doubles and a team-high five RBI.
Elizabeth Moore is tied with MacPherson with a team-best four walks this season while
Victoria Whalen powered in a home run the last time CSI faced off against QC.

News & Notes: After a 24-year lapse, CSI and Queens renewed their rivalry earlier this month, with a doubleheader won by CSI by scores of 6-0 and 9-4.
Emily Koerick tossed a four-hit shutout in the opener, and CSI hit three home runs in a 9-4 win (MacPherson, Porcaro, Whalen). Since climbing near the .500 mark, CSI has lost three-straight and are looking to right the ship, while the Knights are looking to overturn a five-game losing streak. The losses to CSI were their first of the season, and they then scored an impressive 7-4 win over Molloy College, but after losing in the second game of that series, they fell in a doubleheader at St. Thomas Aquinas and then again at Mercy College. Today marks their third-straight ECC road doubleheader before they return home to face first-place Bridgeport.
