SPARKILL, NY – The College of Staten Island softball team secured the No. 4 seed in the East Coast Conference (ECC) Tournament for the first time in its Division II history following a game two victory over Mercy on Saturday. The Dolphins will open postseason play on Thursday afternoon against No. 1 seed and host St. Thomas Aquinas College, with first pitch set for 12:00 PM in Sparkill, NY.
Regular Season Series Recap
The Dolphins faced the Spartans four times during the regular season, with St. Thomas Aquinas completing a 4-0 series sweep. The final two meetings came on May 1 in Sparkill, where CSI fell 9-0 in five innings in game one before battling in a 4-1 loss in game two.
