Leesburg, FL – The College of Staten Island Softball Team is back at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex this afternoon for games five and six on their Florida trip. In game one, the Dolphins face Trevecca Nazarene University at 1:30 PM. In their second game, CSI will face Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at 4:30 PM. The Dolphins enter the day 3-3 on the season after splitting two games on Wednesday. The Trojans and Fighting Scots both come in at the .500 mark as well with an 8-8 and 3-3 record respectively.

The Dolphins earned a split in two highly competitive games on Tuesday defeating Lake Erie College 5-1 and losing to the College of Saint Rose, 4-3. Both Trevecca Nazarene and Edinboro split two games on Tuesday as well.

Aileen Balderas and Mariah Carcano are both hitting well above the .400 mark to open the season and Alyssa Acosta isn't far behind at .389. Alexis Miramontes is also off to a good start in the circle with an ERA below 2.00 and a pair of wins on the season. Alexandra Frenza has held opponents to a sub-.200 batting average against as well and opponents are hitting only .271 against CSI pitching.

Today's games will be the fifth and sixth for the Dolphins on their Florida trip. They will wrap up their eight-game appearance in The Spring Games tomorrow.
