GAMEDAY: SOFTBALL FACES HOLY FAMILY IN FIRST GAMES BACK AFTER FLORIDA TRIP

Philadelphia, PA - The College of Staten Island Softball Team returns to action for the first time since returning from their Florida trip as they hit the road for a doubleheader against Holy Family University. The Dolphins enter today's games 7-5 following a 5-5 outing at The Spring Games last week. The Tigers come in 6-8 and are also playing their first games after going 5-3 during their own trip to Florida. The two teams have met five times before with the Tigers holding a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series. Most recently, the two sides split a doubleheader in 2023 with the Tigers taking game one 6-5 and the Dolphins winning game two 10-6. Following the third week of the Softball season, Anissa Acosta was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week. Hitting well above the .400 mark in Florida, the senior comes in the leading hitter for the Dolphins. She joins Kennedie Ruth as an ECC weekly award winner as Ruth was named Pitcher of the Week following the first week of the season last month.
