GAMEDAY: SOFTBALL FACES DOMINICAN FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON

Orangeburg, NY - The College of Staten Island Softball Team takes the field for the second straight day as they visit Dominican University of New York for another non-conference doubleheader at 2:00 PM. The Dolphins come in with a record of 8-6 after splitting yesterday's doubleheader at Holy Family University. The Chargers come in with a record of 3-11 and have scored just once across their last three games. The two teams also faced off less than a week ago as they met at The Spring Games in Florida. The Dolphins took the win in that game 6-1 behind a complete game effort from starter Marena Grenier. The Dolphins also had a season-high 12 hits in the victory, and reigning ECC Player of the Week Anissa Acosta was 3-4 with 3 RBI. The Dolphins win tied the all-time series at 1-1 with the only other meeting between the two programs coming all the way back during the 1998 season.
