GAMEDAY: SOFTBALL OPENS CONFERENCE PLAY WITH VISIT TO MERCY

Dobbs Ferry, NY - The College of Staten Island Softball Team opens conference play this afternoon as they visit Mercy University at 2:30 PM. The Dolphins enter the day 9-7 on the season coming off a pair of doubleheader splits against Holy Family and Dominican last week. The Mavericks come in 5-7 having lost each of their last four games. Last time CSI and Mercy faced off was on the final day of the 2024 regular season. Needing to win both games to make the postseason, the Dolphins took game one 5-1 and dropped game two 4-0. The victory snapped a four-game Mercy winning streak against the Dolphins, but the CSI loss sent the Mavericks to the postseason. Mercy leads the all-time series 11-5 and has won seven of the last nine games against CSI.
