GAMEDAY: SOFTBALL VISITS D'YOUVILLE HOPING TO IGNITE LATE-SEASON PLAYOFF PUSH

Buffalo, NY - The College of Staten Island Softball Team hits the road this afternoon as they look to ignite a late-season playoff push during their ECC doubleheader against D'Youville University. Needing a win to keep pace in the chase for the final East Coast Conference playoff spot, the Dolphins earned a split with St. Thomas Aquinas at home on Sunday. This moved CSI to 14-16 on the season and 2-8 in conference play. The Saints are 17-9 on the season and 7-5 against the ECC. Following yesterday's conference action, the Dolphins are fifth in the ECC standings with ten conference games remaining. Six of those will be played in the next four days beginning with today's doubleheader against the Saints. D'Youville leads the all-time series against the Dolphins 10-6, but CSI has won three of the last four meetings. The Dolphins also enter today's doubleheader with Amanda Stalker as the reigning East Coast Conference Player of the Week. Following a record-setting day at the plate for the team against Lincoln, it was announced that Stalker had been named the conference player of the week on Monday.
