GAMEDAY: SOFTBALL TAKES ON CUNY RIVAL QUEENS IN HIGH-STAKES CONFERENCE DOUBLEHEADER

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Softball Team continues conference play at the CSI Softball Complex this afternoon as they take on the Queens College Knights at 2:00 PM. The Dolphins enter the day with a record of 15-17 on the season and a 3-9 record in conference play. The Knights come in 7-23 overall, and they are 3-11 in conference play following a split with Mercy yesterday. After each team took a win in their first meeting of the season, both teams can secure a potential tiebreaker over the other with a sweep of today's doubleheader. The two sides last met on March 29^th with the Dolphins taking game one 8-0 and the Knights winning game two 13-7. Currently, both teams are on the outside looking in when it comes to the ECC playoff picture. However, two wins for either team would thrust them right back into the playoff hunt, effectively ending the season of the other. Having played two more conference games than CSI, Queens is approaching must-win territory with a limited number of conference games remaining. The Dolphins will play two more conference games against Molloy tomorrow and will close the regular season against Mercy and D'Youville next week.
